By the time their paths cross for The Edge of Horizon, Inn Jakkrasin Atsavatanachai and Ongsa Theethuch Khummuang have both begun working in front of the camera. This audition is an opportunity to land new roles; it will also mark the beginning of their first collaboration. Before their names appear on the same poster, though, there are several years to go back through, to a time when each is still trying to find room in his life for the things he wants to do.

Inn is born on 3 November 1997. As a child, he already has opportunities to audition for commercials, encouraged by a family who would like to see him give it a try. He does not quite share their enthusiasm. Lacking confidence, he prefers to let the offers pass rather than put himself in front of a camera. The first fashion show he agrees to take part in as a teenager gives him a different introduction to that world. He enjoys it, but also discovers what it means to earn his own money. Work he had not been sure he wanted to do becomes something he wants to continue. His interest grows through experience, as he begins to accept the attention he had previously avoided.

In Lopburi, Ongsa grows up with a clearer ambition. Born on 3 June 2005, he loves singing and can imagine making a career of it one day. At the Demonstration School of Thepsatri Rajabhat University, his school years are divided between classes, volleyball and school activities. He also takes dance lessons. Music becomes important enough to bring him, at fifteen, to the set of The Voice Kids Thailand. In 2020, he enters the blind auditions with อ้าว, a song by Atom Chanakan, and joins singer and coach Wan Thanakrit’s team. He does not win the competition, but this first experience on television does not put an end to his wish to sing.

For Inn, the years before television series also include university. He enrols at Thammasat University in the international Business English Communication programme, studying English for professional communication and graduating from the course. Modelling, meanwhile, gives him his first working routines. When he takes part in a fashion show at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in 2022, he has just turned twenty-five. Audiences do not yet know him through a television character, but he is already working in the public eye, with photoshoots and runways preceding his arrival on drama sets.

Ongsa is still in high school when A Supachai, a producer and manager of numerous Thai artists, begins supporting his career. A video of him singing for his mother has caught his attention and led him to get in touch. In 2022, Ongsa is publicly introduced among the young talents he supports. At seventeen, he continues attending classes while discovering photoshoots and runway shows, including walking for ISSUE at Bangkok International Fashion Week. His wish to become a singer is beginning to find opportunities beyond school, with professionals who can now help him take it further.

In 2023, he appears in the music video for ETC.’s ฮักเมา เมาฮัก, filmed in Chiang Mai during the flower festival. This time, he acts in the story accompanying the song. A few months later, he will be able to introduce a track under his own name: จดหมาย, “Letter”. He also performs at Siam Music Fest, then sings his song on T-POP Stage Show early the following year. Between the boy who came to try his luck on The Voice Kids and these first professional appearances, music has remained part of his life, even as he begins finding his place in front of a camera too.

This period is also marked by the loss of his father in 2023. In the words he shares publicly, Ongsa thanks him and speaks of his mother, by whose side he hopes to keep moving forward. In a year when his first professional experiences are multiplying, he shares a farewell to his father and his wish to carry on living as best he can alongside his mother.

In 2024, Ongsa enters Chulalongkorn’s Faculty of Communication Arts. His first songs have been released and professional work has begun, but he is still a student too. He will have to keep finding time for classes as filming takes up more of his schedule. He learns to balance studying, work and rest, without always being able to set aside separate hours for each. As his acting career truly begins, university therefore remains part of his everyday life.

Inn enters television drama in 2025 with The Wicked Game, led by Daou Pittaya and Offroad Kantapon. He plays Phakphum, someone close to Jet. After modelling, he begins learning his way around a set through a supporting character, in a story led by other actors. The following year, The Last Duel, also known as Hongsawadi, casts him as Ekathotsarot, Naresuan’s brother. He joins a historical drama and a cast spanning several generations of actors. His television debut is still recent, but his characters are already taking him into different worlds.

Ongsa, meanwhile, lands his first leading role in The Cursed Love, which airs in 2025. He becomes Siwat, a young man with a power linked to fire, opposite Au Kittipon as Khunkhao. Before settling on their pairing, director Mai Phawat works with the young actors and tries several combinations. Ongsa discovers workshops and the preparation involved in a series that places him at its centre from the outset. He also sings its theme song, รัก-สาป-สูญ. The wish to sing that has been with him since his teenage years continues into his first acting roles.

When Inn and Ongsa audition for The Edge of Horizon, they get to know each other while discovering what could become their next job. Ongsa is reserved; Inn finds it easier to start a conversation and encourages him during workshops. For Inn, the project means a first leading role after Phakphum and Ekathotsarot. Ongsa, who has already led The Cursed Love, approaches a new series and learns to work with a different acting partner.

Under the direction of Oh Kathadeb Thaivanit, Inn becomes Phob, the son of a palace nurse, while Ongsa plays Prince Thinnakorn. Raised together and then separated, the two characters are reunited as the upheavals of 1932 draw near, by which time Phob has become an officer. Their relationship comes up against differences in social standing, family expectations and their own convictions. After their first television experiences, the story gives both actors a central place in a new historical drama.

In June 2026, the characters they have prepared begin reaching audiences on one31. As the series airs through August, they discover the reactions to their work, with a reception that exceeds their expectations. Viewers approach Ongsa because they have discovered him as Thinnakorn; Inn learns to be more mindful of his outings and what he posts on social media. Their names also begin appearing together beyond the episodes, on programmes and at events where they meet the public.

For Ongsa, this new visibility also comes through something he wanted to do long before his first acting roles sing. He performs First Light, the theme song produced by Amp Achariya, then joins Inn on I Love You So Much, whose video is released in October. By then, the series has ended, but their activities continue. They travel to Milan for a fan meeting, ahead of another event announced for 21 November at One Bangkok Forum. Filming days give way to recording sessions, rehearsals and travel, with professional schedules that now partly overlap.

Beyond the songs and meetings with the public, new characters are already waiting. Anantasaya : Our Love Stories is set to bring them together alongside Jam and Film, Daou and Offroad, and Pearl and Peak. The first script readings begin, although audiences will still have to wait to discover the episodes. For Inn, it will be another step in a television career that began in 2025. Ongsa will continue acting while keeping music and his studies at Chulalongkorn in his daily life.

Amid these new projects, Inn also holds on to a wish connected to the people who encouraged him when he was still hesitant about his first auditions: to thank his parents for their support, including by giving his father a car. Since those first runway shows, earning a living has taken on another meaning. Ongsa, meanwhile, is still singing, several years after stepping onto The Voice Kids stage. Their work has changed and new roles await them, but some of those early wishes remain. Their first series together becomes another chapter in careers that are still young, now with more experience and further possibilities ahead.
